I'm totally in love with Giant Drag's latest album, "Waking Up is Hard to Do." I was introduced to the band by Rookie, naturally, and it's been a non stop listening fest since.

The whole album is really sweet and pop-y but also snarly and moan-y. If that makes sense.

I'm so into these photos by Joe Coscarelli from the Westminster Dog Show.

 

I can't help but wonder if these dogs are having a good time. I wish there was a show like "Toddler's and Tiaras" about dog show dogs, but I guess animal mind-reading technology would have to be developed first for it to be really worth watching. Pageant Pups, anyone?

word jewelry//Lanvin

I loved the jewelry from Lanvin's Fall 2013 collection. There was a lot of words, which I usually don't like, but Alber Elbaz incorporated them in a way that was, shall I say, cool.


so nonchalant, just jeweled bugz hanging around her, but it's chill, she's cool. Or, it's supposed to be sarcastic, which I think is also cool.

Honestly, I hate these rhinestones and pearls, but I love that they are spelling out and surrounding words like "help" and "go." What does it mean??

This is my favorite look of the collection. It got me thinking about how we use fashion to either hide or reveal our inner thoughts. I love how the model is wearing a fraying dress that is styled with an abundance of jewelry, all around her face. This highlights her minimal makeup, save the heavy lined eyes, which is an awesome reflection of the look. The most decadent looking piece states "help" which leads me to believe this is a statement about materialism. I'm probably looking way to far into this but I love talking about fashion!!
